Donate Food

The Vancouver Food Recovery Network connects food businesses of all sizes with food recovery organizations dedicated to reducing waste and supporting communities. Whether you have a large pallet shipment or smaller donations from a local bakery, you can choose the organization that best fits your donation size and goals.

  • Vancouver Food Runners

Vancouver Food Runners makes it easy for food businesses to donate surplus food — free, simple, and reliable. We offer same-day or weekly collections (2–20 boxes) from any food business type and deliver directly to community programs across Metro Vancouver. Reduce waste, feed people, and make an impact today!

  • Food Stash Foundation

We work with businesses and organizations to divert good surplus food and reduce their environmental footprint, offering pickups seven days a week and working around your schedule. We prefer food donations of 100 pounds or more, as well as recurring, regularly scheduled contributions, though we can sometimes accommodate one-off pickups if you’re on our route.

  • CityReach Care Society

The CityReach Food For Families program operates uniquely with both direct distribution to over 1,000 families across 5 locations, and a ‘food hub’ network that supports over 70 food security programs across the region. With a warehouse location in east Vancouver, donations are coordinated in both large and small quantities through pick-up via refrigerated trucks or delivery by partners to the central site.

  • Quest Non-profit Grocery Market

We are looking to build partnerships with food producers, farmers, distributors, retailers and restauranteurs and are seeking Short dated, pushed back or overstocked products and Bulk products. With partners like you, we are able to provide access to affordable food to approximately 4,000 clients each week across our five grocery markets located in Burnaby, Surrey, North Vancouver, East Vancouver, and the Downtown Eastside.
